Ritz Carlton Barbeque Event

Bar 10 Beef teamed up with Chef Ryan Taliaferro and staff of the Ritz peppercorn crusted steamship roundCarlton Lake Las Vegas, Wine-maker Joe Bastianich, and Slow Food Las Vegas for an unforgettable BBQ event on September 12th.  Here are a few pictures of the event and some of the comments that we received:

peppercorn crusted steamship round"It  was a great event.   The quality of the food was outstanding as was to be expected from the Staff of the Ritz Carleton.   The beef chili was the best i have ever had.  The steaks were succulent. juicy, tender, tasty. The Bernaise sauce was the best i have ever had.  I would like to have another event using the Bar 10 Beef again, but this time in the main dining room of the Ritz Carleton." - Angelo Deprano, Las Vegas

 

peppercorn crusted steamship roundHere is Kelly teaching a future cowgirl how to rope.  Kelly, Gavin and I were on hand at the event to not only enjoy the excellent dinner, but to talk with the guests about cowboying, ranching, cattle, beef and any other topic that came up.  The guests were also able to sit in the saddle and learn how to rope a "steer!"

 

peppercorn crusted steamship roundThe event featured beef carving stations, steaks grilled to order, beef chili, 2 desert stations, fresh salads made from local produce and a world class smore's station. 

 

"The Board of Slow Food  Convivium Las Vegas wishes to thank you sincerely for your participation in our recent  '1st Cowboy Barbeque.'  This event gave our membership, and friends, an opportunity to savor the taste of grass-fed, open range, locally raised beef prepared in a variety of ways by Chef Ryan Taliaferro and his staff at The Ritz Carlton Lake Las Vegas.
