2008 North American Devon Select Sale
Consignment Instructions:
The North American Devon Association Board of Directors is pleased to present the second annual Select Sale. Our inaugural sale in 2007 was a landmark event and set a precedent for future success. We offer the following process for application for consignment to the 2008 sale. The Board of Directors retains the right to refuse entries to the sale. In the event an application is refused, the catalog fee will be returned in full.
Application can be made online or by mail. All mail correspondence, including applications and payment of cataloging fees are to be sent to NADA headquarters at:

Steps to the Process and information regarding consignment:
1) Read the “Terms and Conditions of Sale” thoroughly to assure
you agree and will comply
2) Fill out the official application form
3) Accompany the application with a scan or photocopy of the entry’s
NADA Registration Paper
4) Accompany the application with a digital photo of the entry, include a
quality side view and rear view.

b) E-mail separately or include on CD or enclose a photo if entering by mail
5) Accompany application with $100 catalog/entry fee. Make checks
payable to NADA.
6) A visual inspection prior to the sale may occur by an official of the
NADA. You will be contacted to arrange details for an acceptable
time.
7) An inspection will occur at the sale grounds prior to the sale to assure
current condition and soundness of the animal consigned. Animals
not meeting standards will be refused entry in to the sale.
8) Consignors agree to pay a $ 100 catalog/entry fee and a 7%
commission on the sale price to the NADA for each consignment to
the sale.
9) Entries close August 17, 2008
10) Stalls will be available at the sale site and will be assigned by the sale
Committee. If a tack or hospitality stall is desired, please indicate on
the application form.
11) Hay and bedding will be available on site at an additional cost, or the
consignor may bring their own. Consignors are responsible for
care and feeding of the animals consigned before, during and for
24 hours after the sale unless other arrangements are made with
the buyer

Stalls for Animals Hospitality and Supplies: One stall per consignment will be supplied during the Annual Meeting and Select Sale. Any additional
Stalls needed for a hospitality area or supplies must be indicated on at least one of the consignment forms in the following space: #_________________
Minimum Reserves: All animals may have a reasonable minimum reserve to be agreed upon by the seller and sale committee prior to the sale. Every effort will be made to exceed that minimum reserve by the sale committee.
If it is not met, the seller can “no sale” the animal. The catalog fee is
forfeited but no commission is due, unless; once a no sale is declared, the
seller can actively pursue a private sale on the grounds during the rest of
the annual meeting. If a sale is consummated, the appropriate commission
is due the NADA.
Liability: All persons who attend the 2008 Select Sale and Annual Meeting, do so at their own risk. The NADA, the Board of Directors and hosts assume no liability legal or otherwise, for any accidents that may occur.
Terms and Conditions of Sale: A copy of the NADA Standard Terms and Conditions of Sale is supplied with this application. It is the consignor’s responsibility to read and agree to comply with before consigning. The following signature attests to that being accomplished and the consignor agreeing with its terms.
