Dear Cook-Off Contestant,
Thank you so much for entering your superior beef into our Second Annual beef challenge cook-off! We are proud to be working with this group of high caliber producers and we hope this event proves to be fun, delicious, and eventually profitable for you and your farm. This letter is meant to provide you with some important information concerning your participation at the event on Sunday.
ATTENDEE REGISTRATION
As a contestant, you are entitled to one free event registration. Partners, children, or other guests you wish to bring to the event must register. Please call 60-458-5700 ext 317 to speak with Kendra Anderson if you still need to register any additional family or friends.
LAY OF THE LAND
We will have educational posters about your farm on display in the Main Room adjacent to the Cook-Off tent. There is space on the tables in front of each poster for some literature about your farm. We encourage you to bring business cards, brochures, newsletters, pictures, etc. to display and distribute. You can expect about 20” x 30” of “display” room in front of your poster.
Also in the Main Room will be a handful of event sponsors and their informational displays. The burger eating public will peruse this room to speak with the contestants to learn about grass-fed beef and visit the sponsor tables throughout the event. Though you are not required to be standing in the Main Room the entire time, we suggest this as the best way for potential customers to meet you and learn about your product.
BE PREPARED
We are expecting a crowd of about 150 at the cook-off. The event is being held rain or shine. Please dress appropriately to represent your farm business. Attire is country fair casual, but wearing any PASA, Buy Fresh Buy Local®, farm or food clothing is encouraged.
