Purchase Guidelines:

 

A “good deal” is only good if it is good for all involved in the transaction.  Therefore, the following guidelines are defined to assure accurate communication and understanding for purchasing seed stock from 12 Stones Grassland Beef:

1)  Upon selection of cattle for purchase, a deposit of one-half the purchase price is due if pick-up of the cattle is scheduled more than 5 weekdays from the time of the purchase decision.  If the buyer defaults, this is non-refundable.  If injury or death occurs to the animal between purchase and shipment while in the care of the seller, 90% of the deposit will be refunded.

2)  The purchase price must be paid in full either by certified bank check or cash before loading.  Certified Bank Checks are preferably made out to 12 Stones Grassland Beef.  However those made out to Bill Roberts as agent are accepted.

3)  The name the cattle are to be registered in and all pertinent mailing information and phone numbers for contact need to be furnished to 12 Stones Grassland Beef prior to pick-up.  This will be used to issue a Bill of Sale and for registration transfer.

4)  Health papers and veterinary certification necessary for interstate transport are the responsibility of the seller.

5)  Any further health verification and/or pregnancy checking are the responsibility of the buyer.

6)  Transfer of registration papers to the new owner is the responsibility of the seller and will be sent to the North American Devon Association within 30 days of payment in full of the animals purchased.  Animals sold as unregistered, will be accompanied by a Bill of Sale as proof of transfer.
